European Settlers
The first settlers of the Midwest were the EuroAmericans. They came to the Midwest through the Mississippi river. The settlers of the Midwest settled because of the Homestead act. This act drew people to the Midwest because every family who moved there got 260 acres of land. The settlers came in 1787.
